SUPPORTING A RECORD NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES IN 2024

Hygiene Hub, the charity providing hygiene and personal care items to those across Ireland who may otherwise go without supported 120 organisations in 2024, equating to support for approximately 16,000 people per month. Thanks to tremendous effort from our volunteers and incredible support from our supporters, we extended our support to an additional 45 organisations, compared to 2023.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

75,000 kg distributed

€25,000 for period products

In 2024, we were delighted to hit 75,000kg worth of distributions - equating to approximately €480,000 worth of items since we began in 2020.
We hired our first staff member - welcome to the team, Liz! This has been instrumental for us as an organisation and we are so delighted to have made this shift.
We also received our first ever round of Government funding in 2024. Thanks to the Department of Health Period Poverty Fund, we were awarded €25,000 and were able to provide more than 80,000 period products to approximately 8,000 people across Ireland.
We opened a new Hub in Kilkenny, thanks to the ongoing support from Rustiq Salon and have partnered with 3 local organisations there to provide hygiene and personal care items.
We also announced our collaboration with Meaghers Pharmacy which saw a drop off point open in each of the 10 Meaghers stores.
We also partnered with Waterwipes and received an incredible 2,191kg of donations from them throughout the year.
Co-Founder Sorcha was invited to represent Hygiene Hub and speak at the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, 20 Year Anniversary Celebration to further spread awareness of our cause.
Our founders, Ciára, Rosie and Sorcha were nominated for a Image PWC Women of the Year Award!
