Challenge Hygiene Poverty
We’re asking schools to promote an understanding of Hygiene Poverty among their students. We can provide lesson plans and educational materials appropriate for both primary and secondary school students that teachers can use to start conversations about hygiene poverty, human dignity and taking action.
By the end of the lesson(s) students will have a greater understanding of what hygiene poverty is, how it is affecting people in Ireland and how they can help.
Are you a school
that can support us?
There are two ways to support Hygiene Hub
Host a Hygiene Drive
A Hygiene Drive is a short-term collection of hygiene items among the pupils, teachers and families of your school.
Our Local Hubs in Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Tipperary, and Wicklow are always in need of hygiene products for our Community Partners.
By hosting a Hygiene Drive, your school can ensure that we can continue to provide essential hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products to those who need them. The items donated will be distributed to those who need them within your local community.
What products can you collect?
We collect new and unused hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products, with the most requested items being shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, deordorant and nappies.
