Main Duties

In a local Hub, Volunteers are responsible for the regular collection of hygiene items from our Drop Off Points, and the delivery of items to our Community Partners.

This includes:

  • Engaging with a local business or businesses to set up a new Drop Off Point. This is where the general public can donate hygiene items,

  • Liaising with the local business manager to collect the products as necessary, ensuring the box never overflows,

  • Delivering hygiene items to our Community Partners who are charities and community groups working to support people facing hygiene poverty,

  • Logging the kilogram weight of each collection and delivery onto our online form,

  • Joining online and in person meetings to discuss future deliveries and upcoming events,

  • Staying in regular contact with fellow volunteers and reporting back to the local Hub Coordinator.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Take initiative and pick up tasks quickly and effectively

  • Work  well with a wider team across the organisation

About the Company

Hygiene Hub, is a grassroots, people-powered charity working to end hygiene poverty across Ireland by freely providing hygiene, personal care and household cleaning items to those who need them. We are compassionate, collaborative and rooted in community. We believe

that being clean is a right, not a privilege and yet many in Ireland cannot afford the everyday essential hygiene items most of us take for granted. We are a network of supporters, volunteers and partners working towards a simple mission: to tackle hygiene poverty across Ireland.
